Hôtel Costes.
Some of my very favorite music comes from the amazing albums by Stéphane Pompougnac. The music is very electronic lounge with some global beats intertwined into some of the songs. I remember when I first discovered Stéphane I was so excited, I didn't listen to anything else for weeks. The first songs I fell in love with were a remix of "Where Do I Begin" performed by Shirley Bassey and a remake of Simon and Garfunkel's "The Sound of Silence" done by Trinity FM. Today there are so many I'm in love with, to name them all would bore you. However I will make a playlist for this post if you care to take a listen. I also put together a collage of my favorite album covers for this collection. The music on it's own is ultra chic, but artwork played a huge part in drawing me in...

telescope eyes.
I want to create my own lookbook. I feel like I have visions that no one understands, maybe I should be the photographer instead of the model. I like both sides of the camera. This is a picture I took of Drei that I sort of love. Nothing special but I think it's kind of neat.
I also really like these photos, they are dark and dreamy. Magical, really. The photographer is one of my new favorites, Craig McDean.

This here is my friend Drei, her and I are together just about everyday. She doesn't like to text, in fact her texting skills are less than admirable. However she texts me all day, and she brings me chai tea when I'm stuck at work. She is eats a churro everyday, and for some reason she wants to play the organ. She models, yet she doesn't show anyone the pictures. Guess what Drei....I FOUND THEM. And I'm publishing them for the world to see. :)

heavenly.
I have to admit, Couture is my ultimate love. I want to be a collector of Couture, like Daphne Guinness...or maybe even just a creator of Couture. I will undoubtably be one or the other at one point in my life. I got all caught up on the shows today, and of course as expected, Chanel made me buckle at the knees. I want to wear every little thing that went down that runway. I can't help that I fall for fashion instead of boys. However if Baptiste Giabiconi and I met in real life I'd fall for him too, or maybe I already have.
I loved the shimmery tights and the silver nails. I also loved that you couldn't tell where the jewelry started and where it ended on some of the pieces. Truly heavenly. It was all very romantic yet somehow so futuristic. I'm quite certain that I must be a part of such beauty. And the way that Karl described how he came about such a collection, "an electronic flash in my head at five o'clock one morning. Silver and pastel," radical. Following very closely behind were Elie Saab and the king of Couture, Dior. Galliano is magical, MAGICAL I say!

The Copenhagen Experience.
These are two of my very favorite Freja moments. Number 2 is my top pick, however both of these fashion films are prime.

a few of my favorite things.
One of my favorite blogs to read each day, is my cousin Dallas' blog. Her and I are a lot alike and sometimes it freaks me out. She recently did a random post on some of her favorite things, and here is mine :). A bit random, but I am very eclectic and have a variety of interests...so enjoy!
My electric guitar...I've had it for years!!! However I do not know how to play it, which disappoints me. I got it for Christmas one year, in hopes that I would be as awesome as that crazy blonde guitarist of Michael Jackson's or better yet, Joan Jett. I want to put it to use this Summer, I've just got to get it back in tune...such a struggle.

This is one of my favorite parts of my room, it contains my gypsy lamp, incense, and some art I got from a really neat store my Aunt owns. I have a lot of glitterfied pictures around my room, like I've said before...I love things that sparkle. I also have a picture of my Grandma, and the dresden doll I got when she died a few months back. <3

Some of my favorite items around my room; the bust I got from my mom, again from the neat store my Aunt owns in AF. And the fairy was also from my mom as well. I love fairies and mythical creatures! Growing up my favorite things to draw were fairies.
My laptop is essential. It holds just about 10,000 songs and thousands upon thousands of photos of weekends and adventures with friends and family. Not to mention it is the key to my inspirations. I use it more than I use my cellular device, I'm so happy to have such a nice one! :)

Yet another corner of my room, with my Eiffel Tower lamp and another glitterfied picture(one of my favorites). I have a lot of little Eiffel Towers scattered about my room. One that even stands as tall as my thigh! I am in love with Paris, the day I go will probably be the hap hap happiest day of my life! On top of an old vanity I received from my Grandma Joy, I also have a little glass mermaid my aunt gave me that my Dad gave her when he was in Denmark. It's very special! And of course, paint brushes that were my grandma's before she died.

Oh boy, I am a collector. I have at least 3 shelves of old fashion magazines that I can't bring myself to get rid of. I'm convinced I will go back to them for inspiration one day. I also collect random books. Coffee table books, spell books, scary books, basically anything that interests me. My goodness, I love to read.

I painted these two pictures in an art class a couple years ago. I'm not the best but I do love to paint. These are also my sketch books as well as a journal I kept some serious secrets in. I no longer write deep thoughts in it though, due to the fact that people have in fact read it and destroyed many powerful secrets I once had. Jerks.
Just because, my new sparkily white Tom's. I was never really a fan of these shoes but then my eyes tripped over these babies. I couldn't say no. I even thought about it for a few good weeks! Needless to say, I was reminded that the proceeds go to a good cause, and I went out and bought them that very day.
Lastly, my sewing machine. I've never been so excited to learn how to do something in my life. Soon enough I'll be sewing beautiful things and no one will stop me!
Eff, I can't believe I left Cricket out. She's my baby...she understands the majority of what I say (as odd as that sounds). She never chews up shoes or anything she shouldn't. She likes to sleep as much as I do, and she always makes me happy. She's precious.
Oye, such a long post. Yet such a fun one. :)

superb.
Today was a bit if a quirky day, and I got hit on by one too many old men. The weirdest one of the week would have to be the man who "followed" me to my work. Turns out he was just a patient there, but still man. I was getting off of the freeway after school, cruisin' straight to my place of money making. I noticed the car behind me had been going the same route I had, ever since I exited the freeway. Typical, yet annoying. Finally I get to my work and he happened to park near me, ruuuuuun! I was walking in all quickly and awkwardly as quick as I could, and I heard someone running up behind me. Of course it was this guy and of course I was creeped. He said probably the strangest thing I've heard in a while as he passed me "you drive like a man, aggressive...I like it!" and then he winked and kept running inside. WHHHHHHHAT! Who says that, really shuuuut shut, shut your mouth. After a difficult week of creepy old men coming in as new patients, I now wear a wedding ring to work everyday. However, nothing beats the woman who told me my pants were not pants. Oh if I had a dollar for the crazy comments I hear each day. I'd have these babies by now:

And now, I will go make cupcakes.

you asked.
So I'm sitting here looking at the picture of my boots, and then back at the Rodarte boots...mine aren't nearly as cool, but they are still pretty amazing. Pfffff! I don't have any epic pictures of myself wearing these beauties, worthy enough for the world to see. So until I am given an occasion in which I can wear these and look photo worthy...these will just have to do. I did wear them wandering around in New York though, I should have taken a full body shot rather than this one of me in motion.

I've been really busy with school and work and sleep lately, blogging just hasn't crossed my mind. Such a struggle, I know. I did get some pictures back from some of my more recent photoshoots though! I've had a lot of fun with shooting lately, I have one coming up on Saturday and then another one the beginning of February. Can't wait!

In other news, I am going to COACHELLA this year!!! I have wanted to go for many years now, but finally it's truly happening. My Woodstock moment will be epic, and I will document every detail. It's all happening!

content.
Today was a good day all in all. This morning Drei and I got up and went with my cousin Brian to get started on a digital film project he is working on. It's going to be a while until it is done, but it is going to be amazing! He got Drei and I doing some pretty spastic things, which is not unusual for us. Soon enough we hope to be traveling to Europe and New York again (of course NY) making a variety of fun little films. My cousin is so creative and talented. I am lucky I get to help him!
I have been in such a strange mood lately, I truly don't know what is up. I'm so unsure and indecisive which is not me. The indecisive part, maybe. I need a new crowd I think. And who says you have to go out and party every weekend in order for it to be a successful weekend? Not me. I am completely content sitting here at home with my pup Cricket, watching Lord of The Rings, and blogging my little heart out. :)
I have boots very similar to these Rodarte ones that I got in New York a few months ago...they are my favorite pair ever!

Yes, I'm going insane.
Here I am, it's 3am. I feel as if some sort of strange power has just come over me. I was talking with a friend tonight about how epic music is, and the effect it has on our lives...honestly without music I would not "exist" in this world. I am going through such an awkward phase in my life right now, my emotions are seriously everywhere. I'm 20 years old, I have absolutely no idea what I am doing or what I want. Yet at the same time, I seem so sure of what I want. And people seem to think that I have all the answers, I don't. I got into bed tonight, put together a playlist of songs to put me to sleep, and closed my eyes. The first song to play may have possibly been one of those "meant to be" moments. I thought, I guess I'm feeling this song...it always cheers me up. Suddenly it's like a mother freaking epiphany. "It's a bittersweet symphony this life..." epic. One of my all time favorite songs that I listen to every day without fail. I even put it on a CD so that all the ladies at my work have to listen to it every day. I don't know why this song has suddenly "changed my life" at this random as shit time in the middle of the night. But I feel so content with what I am doing. Only weeks ago I had a friend tell me, "I don't listen to music much anymore, I don't have time." MAKE TIME. Why would you go through life without it? I sound like such a kook, and I don't even know if in the morning I'll end up posting this. But music is my soul. Music is my home sweet home. You can make a home for yourself anywhere in the world with the help of music, it's destiny. "I'll take you down the only road I've ever been down, you know the one that takes you to the places where all the veins meet". I don't know what I'm saying anymore, or why I had to get up and turn my laptop back on at 3 in the stupid morning. I should be sleeping right now, but I have a lot of thoughts at night. They keep me awake, I fall asleep, wake up...poof. Like magic they are gone. I'm not the best writer, and I don't make a lot of sense. But one thing I do know is that music will get you through the hardest times of your life, and it will make some of the best times of your life EPIC. Don't go through life without a rhythm, make your own. But always let the brilliance of other souls rhythms into your life. If you don't, you fail. Life is nothing without music, don't be a dumbhead and say you have "no time". Make time, you'll always be happy you did. That is all. Goodnight world.
