Leigh Lezark has my heart. This is not a lie, this is not a joke.

rapture.

This weekend we had a little going away dinner for my dear sweet Mikenna, who leaves us for Turks and Caicos in one week. She will be doing a study abroad for the next three months and I could not be more excited for her. She has so much to look forward to and I miss her already! Here are some photos from our night. For now, I'm going to enjoy the beauty of The Emmys. I get so giddy over glamorous events involving red carpets and beautiful dresses.

heaven knows the lengths i'll go.

Ellie Goulding playing a show in NYC on September 30th? Birthday present anyone? I'd do just about anything. Anyway, after that wishful moment of bliss, I've come back to reality and thought of a few things I am looking forward to in the next month or so.

1. Legit gypsy party under the next full moon, very selective guest list, very excited. CASSIE!
2. Slumber party with the gang next weekend before Kenna leaves us for Turks and Caicos.
3. FLORENCE + THE MACHINE on VINYL. In my hands...soon.
4. Moving out into zeeee loft.
5. Returning to my state of darkness, hair wise. I miss it.
6. The leaves changing colors, long drives up the canyon.
7. Greatest Halloween costume ever in the works with Drei, just you wait.
8. Sewing lessons begin, t-minus 2 days.
9. I can't think of anything else, however, 9 is my favorite number.
10. Which makes me think of something else, 9.10.10 + Ashlyn = elbow ink.

au revoir sweet summer.

Twas the final concert of the summer at Pioneer Park tonight, and it ended perfectly. Seeing Zooey Deschanel up on stage jumping around with her tambourine was such a delight. I wish I would have taken some nice pictures but I was too far back, and when I was close, they had their eye on you real good. How do they expect you to not take pictures of her?! So dumb. Anyway, of course it was another Thursday spent with friends and good music, followed by a late night bite. Such a lovely way to end my summer season!

she said yeah.

Clearly I have a thing for Frenchmen. First there was Baptiste, and now, Gaspard Ulliel. No objections. Just watch him in this new short film/commercial from Chanel and Martin Scorsese.

fairytale wedding.

I'm a lover of beautiful weddings, and I must say I have witnessed some very spectacular weddings. But last night I was visiting Coco Rocha's Blog, and this is what I found. Absolutely the most magical wedding I have ever seen. It's the fairytale wedding that just about every girl dreams of, myself especially. The music in it only perfects the fairytale vibe and gives it such a romantic feeling. And so, without further ado, Coco + James.

mon paris.

If you know me at all, you know that from a young age, I had an eye for Paris. My bedroom has always been very Parisian with Eiffel Tower's everywhere you look. Since my trip there this summer, I can't seem to let it go. Paris consumes me. Well, you can imagine how excited I might be that a certain television show that I am particularly fond of(Gossip Girl) is returning in a matter of weeks, and is set in Paris. I am full of joy, brimming with excitement, there is literally a glimmer in my eye... Now, let me reminisce for a sweet moment.

oh the possibilities.

I'm spending my Sunday enjoying the company of Miss Holly Golightly, dreaming about candlelit parties on patios, decorating lofts in New York, faux fur coats for winter, and walking the streets of Paris again. And what a lovely Sunday it has been.

fancy footwork.

Oh what a nightie night night. I don't know if I mentioned before but every Thursday here in SLC there is a free concert downtown featuring two different artists. This week was Chromeo and Big Boi. I mainly went for Chromeo, but Big Boi was a real nice time. The people watching alone was enough to last me a lifetime of satisfaction. It was like the ghetto girls and boys of Salt Lake creeped out into society for this one special night. Amazing. I always seem to run into old flames in the midst of this Thursday night social scene. Last week it was one I wish I wouldn't have seen, and this week was one I was hoping I'd run into eventually. Of course when I least expected it there he was, girlfriend in hand. I ran, oh did I ever. Run, Forest, run.

lady grinning soul.

I am in a random state of life right now. I am young, I am free, I can be whatever I want to be. I am in a transition stage. Currently, getting set to move out and live in a super chic loft downtown SLC. And currently divided on my wants and needs. What does society tell you is the right thing to do with your life? And what do you think is the right thing for you to do, personally? I'm going to run with my instincts, chase my dreams, and if they fail...at least I can say I tried. Deep thoughts. Anyhow, I've got 7 new vinyls on their way to my house right now. My collection just keeps growing and it is nothing but excellent. A few more random thoughts for a random mood on this blustery evening: I miss Paris, and..boy with the long hair on the left...you are mine. Goodnight all. xx JR
